About
Lociks is an internationally acclaimed design studio that views furniture as a means of expression, a fusion of aesthetics, function, and narrative. Founded by Dimitri Lociks, a Brazilian designer with international recognition, the studio stands out for an approach that goes beyond utility and redefines the relationship between objects, spaces, and people. Its creations have been showcased in New York and Milan, and have won awards such as gold at the IF Awards and the International Design Awards.
Each piece carries a thought that goes beyond form. Lociks develops objects that engage with the space and the emotions of those who inhabit it. Design shapes not only the environment but also the sensory and emotional experience. Their creations are catalysts for memories, symbols of identity, and bridges between the intimate and the collective, between the past and the present, between reason and emotion.
On its path to internationalization, Lociks collaborates with high-end industries, expanding its global presence while maintaining authenticity. Its identity is marked by a balance between technical rigor and artistic expression, between technology and traditional craftsmanship, always preserving the soul and poetics of design.
Manifest
We believe in the ability of objects to tell stories.
At Lociks studio, each piece is born from the intersection of functionality, aesthetics, and a deep respect for the space it will inhabit. We are inspired by the idea that design is not just the construction of forms, but the creation of bridges between the intimate and the collective, between the past and the present, between reason and emotion.
The object defines the space; the space shapes life.
For us, each object is more than just utilitarian: it is a catalyst for memories, emotions, and meanings. Just as Bachelard defines domestic space as the “topography of the intimate,” we believe our furniture should express true and meaningful emotions and experiences.
We break with the coldness of functionalism and embrace the poetry of design.
Our projects balance reason and sensitivity, uniting technical rigor with artistic expression. We create pieces that do not just serve but enchant; that do not simply fill spaces but transform them into stages for personal and collective stories.
Design as an ethical and cultural act.
In today’s world, where objects often become disposable and devoid of soul, we seek to reclaim authenticity. We use local materials, timeless techniques, and a narrative that respects both the individual and society. For us, each piece of furniture is an allegory: a symbol of enduring values and an invitation to introspection and contemplation.
Reinterpreting consumption, valuing the human.
In Lociks projects, design is an act of resistance to the ephemeral. Our creations transcend trends and planned obsolescence, proposing objects that engage with time, nurture emotional bonds, and promote a more ethical and meaningful relationship with the act of consumption.
